We are thrilled to introduced our WiPA Cymru Team! With deep local roots, unmatched expertise, and a shared passion for delivering excellence, this dynamic group is ready to make a big impact.  


Maxine Tarrant, Chair

Consultant

Maxine is a consultant and has a decade of experience working across the Westminster and Welsh political environment. Specialising in public affairs and stakeholder engagement with skills in communication, policy and campaigns.

Maxine has worked for a political party and has experience in complex organisations and sectors, including health, legal, energy and has significant regulatory expertise.

Maxine set up WiPA Cymru building its structure, committee and senior advisory panel and she is a keen advocate for social mobility. Beyond work you will find Maxine taking on a challenge such as hiking to Everest Base Camp or cycling to the Sahara.


Elin Llŷr, Committee member

ITV

Elin Llŷr has over 15 years experience in the Welsh political sphere and leads on all Public Affairs activity for ITV Nations. She manages the organisation's relationship with all key stakeholders, leads on corporate and strategic communications, policy & regulation, internal communications and promotional events. She is a member of ITV Cymru Wales' Executive Management Team and works closely with the Head of News and Programmes. She also sits within ITV's wider Public Affairs and Communications Team.  

As part of her role, Elin is a member of the Royal Television Society Cymru Committee and the Journalists’ Charity Committee in Wales. She is also a member the Urdd's Strategic Board on its Residential Centres.


Lisa Childs, Committee member

Copper Consultancy 

Lisa specialises in campaigns, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement. A fluent Welsh speaker living in west Wales, Lisa has significant experience influencing opinion and building coalitions of support around campaigns at both Westminster and Cardiff Bay.

Having previously been Head of External Affairs at Heathrow Airport and Director of NUS Wales, Lisa now leads a team and growing portfolio of projects at Copper Consultancy – a UK leader in strategic communications, public consultation and stakeholder engagement for infrastructure and energy projects.


Libby Davies, Committee member

Grayling

Libby lives in mid Wales and is an Account Manager in Grayling's Cardiff team, working with clients across a range of sectors from energy, food and drink and housing. Before joining Grayling, Libby worked for the Farmers’ Union of Wales as their Parliamentary Affairs Officer.

She is a University of Birmingham graduate, and in her spare time is a School Governor, Chairman of her local Young Farmers’ Club, and a keen Welsh learner. 


Helen Antoniazzi, committee member

FAW

Helen has worked in or around politics since the dawn of devolution. Helen previously held the position of Head of News and Research for Plaid Cymru. During that time, she also became Chief of Staff to Leanne Wood, the then leader of Plaid Cymru.  

Helen then led gender equality charity Chwarae Teg Policy and Communications, before becoming Head of Public Affairs and Sustainability at FAW.
